The Place at the Fountains, now La Fontaine at Sun City, is a 182-unit, 55+ community on North Newcastle Drive in Sun City, Arizona. In 2026 Apex delivered an exterior renovation: selective repairs and paint, a tile roof reset with new underlayment, landings and entry corridors, carports and concrete.

The brief

Renew the exterior and envelope of an active-adult community in one coordinated program.

The challenge

Residents aged 55 and over, walking routes that had to stay safe, and desert heat on every surface.

What we did

Completed selective exterior repairs and painting, reset pitched tile roofs over new underlayment, rebuilt landings and entry corridors, repaired carports and fixed pedestrian concrete and stair treads.

The result

A renewed exterior and envelope, with safe walking routes kept open for residents throughout.

The Place at the Fountains, now La Fontaine at Sun City, is a 182-unit active-adult community in Sun City, Arizona. In 2026 Apex delivered its exterior renovation and envelope program.

The scope combined paint, tile roof reset and underlayment, landing and corridor rebuilds, carport repairs and concrete, planned around residents who needed clear, level routes every day.
