The brief

Repaint a large community and fix the waterproofing issues found along the way.

The challenge

Dozens of occupied buildings, high-desert sun on every surface, and a new color scheme that had to be approved on the building first.

What we did

Painted mock-ups for approval, then prepped and repainted the buildings, stairs, doors and signage, and completed waterproofing repairs.

The result

A consistent new exterior across the community, with waterproofing addressed before the paint went on.

Union 505 is a 572-unit apartment community in Albuquerque, built in 1988. In 2024 Apex repainted the exteriors and completed waterproofing repairs.

The color scheme was approved from painted mock-ups on the buildings before production started, then the work ran building by building.
